The Annual Essential Safety Measures Report (AESMR)

An audit is required yearly under the Building Regulations 2006 – part 12 to ensure the following:

• All items installed on site or as listed on the Occupancy Permit are being maintained/tested to meet the requirements to ensure they operate as designed during an emergency.

The audit can also be used by the Owners Corporation to:

• Ensure that the contractors engaged by the Owners Corporation are fulfilling their obligations as per their scope.
• Eliminate shortfalls and ensure compliance.
